The People of Gertrude Street initiative was created to revitalise Gertrude Street, Fitzroy - post-COVID, supporting local businesses and strengthening the community. By establishing a humanistic and inclusive identity, we engaged residents and business owners through a unique campaign. Distributing disposable cameras, we empowered the community to capture and share their unique perspectives, resulting in niave and authentic, community-driven bank of imagery. This project celebrates the resilience and creativity of Gertrude Street, fostering pride and connection within the neighborhood.
